Bill Tassani 100th Birthday Celebration

On Friday December 5th,2024 the West Harrison Fire Department had the pleasure of honoring the 100th birthday of Firefighter Bill Tassani who was born on January 5th of 1924. Firefighter Tassani joined the department in March of 1956 and has served our department faithfully for over 67 years serving as a president and holding multiple ranks and serving on various committees. On Friday December 22nd, 2023 at approximately 20:15 hours the West Harrison Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on White Plains Avenue for a report of a car into garage with structural damage and injuries. Working Fire in Port Chester

On Tuesday November 7th, 2023 at approximately 1525 hours Tower Ladder 9 was requested as an additional truck to the scene of a working structure fire at 406 Boston Post Rd in Port Chester. Upon arrival units were tasked with completing primary searches of the building and helping stretch additional lines into the building to prevent further extension.
